PCPLGPCT - Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Legal Practice

This course will prepare you to take the first assessment of the Solicitors Qualifying Examination.

After completing this course, you should be prepared to pass the Part One examination and progress to the next step in becoming a solicitor.

You’ll be required to have:

• a lower second-class (2.2) or higher undergraduate UK law degree* or have passed the Graduate Diploma in Law having obtained average marks 50% or above or an advanced Chartered Institute for Legal Executives (CILEX) qualification at Level 6
• an IELTs score of 6.5 or above as a standard entry requirement for law courses

*A UK law degree must include having adequately passed assessments in the seven Foundations of Legal Knowledge: Public Law, Obligations I (Contract), Obligations II (Tort), Criminal Law, Land Law, Equity and Trusts and Law of the European Union.

It's essential that students have a qualification in law and knowledge of key foundation subjects in order for their application to be considered.
